Webinar catch up: Research translation: Taking your research to the bedside.

This webinar will focus on research translation, and give examples of how research findings can be used to drive changes in health care, including examples of knowledge into action, guideline development and policy-making, and ethical considerations.

Our panellists will share lessons they have learnt in the process – especially what they would do again and what to avoid!

  • A/Prof Michelle Peate - Program Leader for the Psychosocial Health and Wellbeing Research (emPoWeR) Unit based at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Melbourne. She is a member of WHRTN’s Steering Committee and its Workforce Development Sub-committee.

  • Prof Martha Hickey - Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne.

  • Prof Denise Harrison - Professor of Nursing at the University of Melbourne.

  • Dr Helena Frawley - physiotherapy researcher and Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists, Clinical Specialist in Women’s and Pelvic Health in Melbourne. Helena works at the University of Melbourne as an Associate Professor in the Melbourne School of Health Sciences, and is the Director of Allied Health Research at the Royal Women’s Hospital and the Mercy Hospital for Women,
