Australian Clinical Trials Alliance (ACTA)

WHRTN is working closely with the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance to establish a Clinical Trials Network in women's health research which will work with the Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand.

ACTA is the national peak body supporting and representing networks of clinician-researchers conducting investigator-initiated clinical trials, maintaining clinical quality registries, and operating clinical trial coordinating centres within the Australian healthcare system.

The Research Sub-Committee for WHRTN will form the national ACTA Women’s Health Network and will be the inaugural ACTA/AHRA Network. Experts from across the AHRTC and CIRH NHMRC accredited Centres will be engaged and will align with ACTA processes to support and promote quality, impactful clinical research from clinical trials, epidemiology/cohort, data driven and health services/ implementation clinical research.
